Consultation

These completed forms provide us with detailed information both current and historical, about your condition.

Once these forms have been reviewed by Dr. Bensen, you will have the opportunity to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, expected outcomes, as well as treatment options.

History and Examination

In order to determine the best treatment option for your particular problem, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a detailed examination will be performed. If needed, subsequents tests will be recommended. Then a review of these findings will be discussed and sent to you.

Same Day Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients may be provided with their first treatment during this same visit (if requested in advance). This may include spinal adjustments, physical/physio therapies, inflammation control therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies, directed health/condition education, and stress reduction therapies.

Home Instructions and Take Home Package

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain foods, activities or positions, as well as individualized home exercises and/or stretches. A package of appropriate orthopedic supports, therapeutic devices, herbs, and/or other items may be given.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

From acute to chronic symptom patients, convenient appointment times will be arranged for your subsequent visits (averaging from 1- 9 visits). Generally speaking, chronic pain patients are seen 2-3 days/week for 2- 4 weeks depending on the condition and are provided with a complete review of findings. Acute pain patients may just need less treatment for resolution. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
